Check out Ethan’s backyard coop built using The Garden Coop walk-in chicken coop plans. I like the altered dimensions, door, and roof — and how it all fits into his yard and plantings. He used redwood, which is a beautiful option if it’s available to you. His notes. . .
Here are some photos of the chicken coop I built from your plans. I modified it slightly by reducing it to 4′ x 8′ (exterior dimensions) and moving the door. The henhouse is sided with redwood fencing boards, and I stained it with a non-toxic deck stain. The red parts are just plain lumber.
I used one less roof panel which saved some money though it doesn’t allow for much overlap on the sides. But that’s OK because we’re in Sunnyvale, California, where the weather is mild and there’s little rain.
Thanks for the great plans, they were very helpful!
