Make It Your Own: Helmut’s Hen House, Sanford, Florida

Helmut used The Garden Coop chicken coop plans to build his dream coop.

Helmut and Karen sent in this photo of their beautiful Garden Coop build in Florida, along with a quick note (from Karen): “Helmut said the plans were very clear and easy to use. He had a lot of fun making the coop with his 8-year-old grandson and son in law. We’re naming it ‘Helmut’s Hen House.'”

Thanks to Helmut and Karen for sharing a shot of their chicken coop. Want to keep up with what others are creating with our coop plans? Subscribe to Coop Thoughts.

Hi, I love the Helmut’s hen house design and I am thinking of building it for about 5 hens but is there any way to make it easy to move, also where are the plans for it. Thanks. I do LOVE the built of it though!

No problems with the hen house door opening it works great! Thank you for the comment.

It looks great! I like the arched detail on the hen house door 🙂 Do you have any problems opening the door — does it hit the chicken ramp at all?
