What's included in your Quick Kit:
Each pre-shopped, pre-packaged kit includes more than 10 lbs. of quality hardware, comprising half of the items on the materials list for The Garden Coop (and 75% of the items for The Garden Ark):
- Fasteners of every type/size needed: screws, nails, nuts, bolts, and washers
- Door hinges, corner braces, and heavy-duty lockable latches
- Roofing screws with washers for attaching corrugated panels
- Poultry fencing staples for attaching hardware cloth
- Door pulls, door spring, and galvanized barriers for use above the piers (Garden Coop)
- Custom-cut tubing used in the roof support (Garden Ark)
- OPTIONAL wheel assembly (Garden Ark) — a pair of 6" steel hub wheels, pictured here, and the hardware to attach them to your coop
What's not included:

Which chicken coop designs are the Quick Kits meant for?
  We offer kits for both The Garden Coop walk-in chicken coop (left) and The Garden Ark mobile chicken coop (right). You can learn more about these coop designs and plans here.
Why are the instructions sold separately?
Our chicken coop plans come with a detailed materials list, so you're free to shop for these same items however you'd like. The Quick Kits are offered purely as a convenience and (most likely) savings.
Keeping the plans and kits separate makes it possible for customers to get the plans first, then come back for a kit later — without double paying for the plans. Of course, you're welcome to get them both at the same time too! Add your plans here.

Why would I not get a kit?
There are certain situations where getting a Quick Kit might not be the best option:
- You live outside of the United States. Sorry, we currently ship to addresses and P.O. boxes within the U.S. only.
- You're not using The Garden Coop or The Garden Ark chicken coop plans. The materials in the kit are very specific to these designs. You will need the plans.
- You plan to make major alterations to the design. Some modification to dimensions and materials should be fine. If you're planning anything more extensive, get the plans first, then decide on the kit later.
- Your coop will be in a coastal environment and you prefer the corrosion resistance of stainless steel hardware (very pricey) to galvanized or zinc-plated.
- You own a hardware store and can get your materials at cost. I can't beat that price.

Can I get a detailed list of what's in the kit?
See above for a general list of what's in the kit. A detailed materials list is included in the plans. Suffice it to say, your kit will contain everything you need from that list except the bulky stuff (wood, roofing, paint/sealer, hardware cloth, pier blocks, etc.).
NOTE: On some items in the kit, quantities are less than what's on the list. For instance, the plans may call for a "1 lb. box" of a certain screw size — that being the smallest package you can get at a hardware store. But if less than a pound is plenty, your kit will contain the amount you need for your coop (plus plenty of extra screws and staples, of course).

Must I buy a kit in order to build my coop?
No! Our coop plans come with a detailed materials list specific to your coop, so you're free to shop for these same items however you'd like. The kits are offered for your convenience.

Should I get the optional wheels for The Garden Ark?
 As called for in the plans, the 6" steel hub wheels allow you to tilt and roll The Garden Ark from spot to spot in your yard. If you do not want this added mobility, or if you plan to use a larger wheel size (other modifications required), then pass on the wheels.
Otherwise, get them! This is a great price, and even with the added wheel assembly, your kit ships free.

What if I have other general questions about The Garden Coop or The Garden Ark?

What is your return policy?
Please open and inspect your items right away! In the event that your kit arrives with parts missing or damaged, you must let us know by email within seven (7) business days of receipt. In the case of damage, attach a photo to your email clearly showing the extent of the damage, if possible. We'll make it right or arrange a refund.
If you are simply not satisfied with your kit, you may return it to us in new, complete condition within 30 days of purchase for a refund of the purchase price (portion of price that covers shipping is not refundable). You are responsible for return shipping costs. Email us first to let us know that you would like to make a return, and we'll send you further instructions. We'll issue your refund once we've received your item.

How long does it take for delivery?
We ship our chicken coop hardware kits via USPS Priority Mail. Please allow 1-2 days for processing and 2-3 days for delivery.
Do you ship outside of the U.S.?
Currently we are set up to ship within the U.S. only. This may change in the future. Our chicken coop plans, on the other hand, may be purchased internationally.
